Chateau Giscours Wedding Photography | Caroline & Anthony (Part 2)
September was a busy month for me travelling to weddings in Lisbon, Bordeaux and Santorini and it was amazing to be thrust into new cultures and working with the different lights and backdrops in some of the most beautiful places in Europe. Caroline and Anthony chose a venue local to where they both grew up, Chateau Giscours, for their wedding photography
Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer - English country wedding for Rosa and Andy
From the adorable local church to the countryside reception, Rosa and Andy's wedding was a delight to capture. A beautiful August day in Ingham punctuated with individuality....after all not many brides and grooms cycle all the way to their seats at wedding breakfast! Other favourite moments for me include the first marital head to head taking shape in the form of tug-of-war (with an extra special pair of shoes for the task) and an idyllic first dance outside in the fresh air. Wonderful!
Cambridge Wedding Photography - South Farm Wedding in Cambridgeshire
It's always fun to shoot at a new wedding venue and I'd been looking forward to photographing a wedding at South Farm in December when Natalie and Paul booked me last minute for this summer. With a picturesque outdoor setting for the ceremony, an Asian tuk tuk on standby as the getaway vehicle and gorgeous grounds this was a pretty dreamy wedding to photograph - not to mention how beautiful Natalie looked.
Cotswolds Wedding photography at Cornwell Manor
Sarah and Simon chose to become Mrs and Mr at Cornwell Manor, a hidden gem of a venue which was formerly a hunting lodge set in the heart of the Cotswolds. A late afternoon ceremony allowed for the rains to pass and the afternoon was spent outside in the sunshine. A proper English country garden wedding.
Advice for brides & grooms - Do I need a second shooter at my wedding?
This is something I get asked a lot by my clients. The answer of course will depend on numerous factors, from where you're getting ready to the size of your wedding. Here are my top reasons I would recommend a second shooter:
Petersham Nurseries Wedding Photographer ~ Winter Wedding for Niamh & Bryan
Now living in New York having moved to be with Bryan, Niamh wanted to have her wedding in London. The ceremony was an intimate family gathering in Mayfair with drinks reception at The Connaught before a short break and rejoining for a large sit down feast at the extraordinary Petersham Nurseries - one of my favourite wedding venues in London. As darkness fell the candles lit the glasshouses and the most lavish floral displays.
Olivia & James' English Country Garden Wedding~ Warwickshire Wedding Photographer
A grand ceremony at the impressive Warwick Church followed by a rather blustery departure to Olivia's family home where her sister was married only a couple of years ago. A fusion of English, South American and a few drinking games thrown in and a rather impressive first dance. Oh, and Olivia MADE her own dress!
The Swann Theatre Wedding Photography ~ Nadia & Antony's Wedding In Stratford upon Avon
I was very blessed to have been present and captured a very special and intimate ceremony between Nadia and Antony last year when they had their civil ceremony in Clissold Park and so I was hugely excited to have the opportunity to photograph their full wedding a year later in Stratford Upon Avon. With family connections to The Royal Shakespeare Company it seemed appropriate to hold the ceremony at The Swann Theatre. Definitely the most unusual wedding venue I have attended and all the more special for it - with a wonderful mixture of religious influences. It felt both theatrical and spiritual, solemn and entertaining.
