A dreamy late-summer wedding in Ostuni, Puglia, as Laura and Ben celebrated at the stunning Masseria Grieco. With an outdoor garden ceremony, traditional Italian food stations, and a lively evening party under the stars, this Apulian celebration was full of beauty, joy, and unforgettable moments.

September was a busy month for me travelling to weddings in Lisbon, Bordeaux and Santorini and it was amazing to be thrust into new cultures and working with the different lights and backdrops in some of the most beautiful places in Europe. Caroline and Anthony chose a venue local to where they both grew up, Chateau Giscours, for their wedding photography

Josh and Sim were married at a poolside ceremony at Josh's mother's beautiful Ibiza villa at the end of the summer with an outdoor reception in the garden as the sun set over the hills.  Her portrait shots were taken at the breathtaking Hacienda Na Xamena at one of the highest points of the island.

The most stylish and glamorous wedding of my career and yet one of the most relaxed and informal of days too with the backdrop of the jaw dropping Lismore Castle in Ireland.

It was a wonderful treat to have the opportunity to return to the magical Chateau de la Bourdaisiere for Marlie and Kevin's multi national outdoor garden ceremony in France.   And my favourite floral designs yet.

A Tuscany garden wedding surrounded by vineyards for two absolutely special people.  Even a brief spell of rain couldn't dampen the spirits.  An outdoor ceremony followed by drinks reception on the lawn and then a traditional Tuscan menu served around the pool.

The picture perfect setting for this ceremony was a private beach club, part of Finca Cortesin near Estepona in Spain.  Clear skies, palm trees, bridesmaids in pink and Spanish canapés round the pool.  Perfection.

A beautiful and natural forest summer wedding in Sopot, Poland for London based Kaya and Simon.  A scorching hot day and a ceremony under the shade of the woodlands.

The wedding celebrations of Marie-Isabel and Nicolas at Chateau Bourdaisiere near Nimes, France.  Beautiful from start to finish with every detail so well thought out with nods to Marie-Isabel's parent's wedding.  The day started with a traditional ceremony and went through to the amazing Earth Lights Boogie Band til the early hours.

A humanist garden ceremony at Simon's family home in St Tropez with Chinese influences followed by pool side reception and dinner and dancing. 

Marie-Isabel and Nicolas had a fabulous pre-wedding party in an even more fabulous venue - Chateau Chenonceau near Nimes to kick start their wedding weekend in France in September.  The theme for the night was Russian Glamour.

I had the wonderful privilege of second shooting for the very talented international wedding photographer Nisha Ravji back in January and February in New Zealand.  She got in touch with me back at the start of 2013 and floated the idea of us working together, which we have subsequently done in both London and New Zealand now.  She has taught me so much both about life and photography and she continues to inspire me daily.  When she told me about this wedding I jumped at the chance to second photograph for her - Ryan and Annelise are obviously absolutely gorgeous, the wedding took place in Annelise's family garden and it was like a fairytale.  Such a fun wedding to photograph and I love shooting outdoors - beautiful light, space and the atmosphere is just so relaxed.

In my quest to add a few more destination weddings to my list of those around Europe and Scotland I jumped at the chance to have the opportunity to visit and photograph some weddings in New Zealand with my good friend Nisha Ravji.  When she messaged to say she had found a wedding for me to shoot I was over the moon.  After chatting over Skype Tasha and Andrew, both jockeys now living and racing in Macau, they booked me for their outdoor wedding at Belsaas Estate; a kiwi fruit orchard near Auckland. I’ve shot all sorts of weddings but I have to say that these two were quite possibly the most relaxed couple I have photographed!  The whole day and the photography went so smoothly.  Maybe it’s something about being in the outdoors – and not facing the craziness of the British weather (the last wedding I did before leaving the UK was in a horrendous downpour and gale force winds!).   I’ve now got a real taste for destination wedding photography!
