MARRAKECH DESTINATION WEDDING AT HOTEL LES DEUX TOURS, MOROCCO
S + J
I will never tire of Morocco. I must have travelled there more than a dozen times over the past twenty years and it was in Marrakech that my photography first truly began. Long before weddings, I was wandering through the medina with a camera, drawn to the light, colour and the quiet poetry of everyday moments.
Returning always feels familiar. The scent of orange blossom, the warmth of the desert light and the rhythm of life in the Palmeraie make Marrakech an endlessly inspiring place to photograph. Hotel Les Deux Tours, tucked among the palm groves just outside the city, is one of the most beautiful venues in the Marrakech palmeraie and a perfect setting for a Morocco destination wedding.
A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING VENUE IN THE MARRAKECH PALMERAIE
Just outside the city, the palm groves of the Palmeraie, Hotel Les Deux Tours creates a dreamlike setting for a destination wedding. Soft desert light filters through the gardens and terracotta architecture, creating a palette of warm tones and textures that feels effortlessly romantic. It’s a place where celebrations can unfold slowly beneath the palms, surrounded by colour, scent and the quiet rhythm of Morocco.
A CEREMONY IN THE PALM GROVES
Outdoor ceremonies in Marrakech feel both intimate and dramatic. Beneath the palms, with the desert light filtering through the trees, the atmosphere is calm and quietly beautiful. Settings like this allow the landscape to become part of the celebration, creating a ceremony that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.
SUNSET IN THE PALMERAIE
As evening approaches, the light in the palmeraie softens into warm gold and amber tones. The desert landscape becomes quieter and more atmospheric, making it the perfect moment for portraits. It’s this magical sunset light that gives Marrakech destination weddings their distinctive warmth and romance.
“Morocco has always been a place I return to creatively, and I love photographing destination weddings for couples travelling from London and across Europe.”

HOTEL LES DEUX TOURS WEDDING VENUE IN MARRAKECH
Hotel Les Deux Tours sits quietly within the palm groves of the Marrakech palmeraie and is one of the most atmospheric venues for a destination wedding in Morocco. The gardens are lush and tranquil, filled with olive trees, terracotta pathways and hidden courtyards that create endless opportunities for intimate ceremonies and celebrations under the open sky.
For couples planning a wedding in Marrakech, the venue offers a rare combination of Moroccan character and understated luxury. The warm desert light, beautiful architecture and relaxed pace of life make it an extraordinary setting for a wedding celebration.
Whilst most of my work takes place in London and across Europe, I’m always delighted to travel as a destination wedding photographer.
PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING IN MARRAKECH
-
Spring and autumn are generally considered the best seasons for a destination wedding in Marrakech. From March to May and again from late September through November the temperatures are warm but comfortable, and the light in the palmeraie and surrounding desert landscapes is particularly beautiful for photography. Summer weddings are possible but the midday heat can be intense, so many couples choose late afternoon ceremonies followed by evening celebrations.
-
Many couples planning a destination wedding in Morocco choose to bring a photographer they already know and trust from the UK or Europe. This allows you to work with someone whose style you already love and who understands your expectations for the day. Marrakech is also a relatively short flight from London, which makes it an accessible destination for both couples and suppliers travelling from the UK.

Hotel Les Deux Tours is one of the most atmospheric venues in the Marrakech palmeraie. The hotel is surrounded by lush gardens, terracotta buildings and quiet courtyards, creating an intimate setting that feels both relaxed and elegant. The combination of beautiful architecture and warm Moroccan light makes it a wonderful backdrop for a destination wedding or celebration with close friends and family.

Lightweight fabrics and relaxed silhouettes tend to work beautifully in the Moroccan climate. Many couples choose dresses with movement or softer tailoring that feels comfortable in the warmth. Accessories such as veils, hats or flowing fabrics can work particularly well against the desert landscape and palm groves, where the light and colour create a very distinctive atmosphere.

The legal process for getting married in Morocco can be complex, particularly for international couples. For this reason many couples choose to complete the legal paperwork in their home country and then hold a symbolic or celebrant-led ceremony in Marrakech. This allows complete flexibility in terms of location and style of ceremony while still enjoying the experience of a destination wedding celebration in Morocco.
