INTIMATE MARYLEBONE OLD TOWN HALL WEDDING
H + A
An incredibly stylish and intimate London wedding starting and ending at the luxury Lanesborough Hotel in Knightsbridge and with a ceremony at the classic London wedding backdrop that is Marylebone Old Town Hall. A venue that really delivers whatever the weather.
The ceremony took place in the larger Paddington Room - one of my favourite and most elegant spaces at Marylebone.
Hana wore a dress by a designer friend accessorised with a Christopher Kane veil, earrings by Shrimp and a beautiful pale yellow bouquet.
GETTING READY AT THE LANESBOROUGH
Hana got ready at The Lanesborough, one of London’s most elegant hotels just moments from Hyde Park. The calm atmosphere of the suite made the perfect setting for a relaxed morning of hair, makeup and quiet anticipation before heading to Marylebone Old Town Hall for their intimate ceremony.
CEREMONY IN THE X ROOM AT MARYLEBONE
Hana and Angelo held their ceremony in the Paddington Room at Marylebone Old Town Hall, one of London’s most iconic registry office venues. The ceremony was small and intimate, surrounded by close friends and family.
RECEPTION AT THE LANESBOROUGH
After the ceremony the celebrations continued with an elegant reception at The Lanesborough, where guests gathered for champagne, speeches and cake before continuing the celebrations into the evening.
“A quietly stylish London wedding - beginning in Marylebone and ending with a celebration at The Lanesborough.”

GETTING MARRIED AT MARYLEBONE OLD TOWN HALL
Marylebone Old Town Hall has long been one of the most iconic wedding venues in London. Couples travel from across the city and beyond to marry here, drawn by its elegant architecture, beautiful ceremony rooms and the quiet charm of Marylebone itself. It works equally well for intimate ceremonies with just a handful of guests as it does for larger celebrations, and the steps outside have become a much loved spot for photographs after the ceremony. With the surrounding streets of Marylebone offering classic London backdrops, it is an endlessly photogenic place to begin a wedding day.
If you’re planning a wedding at Marylebone Old Town Hall and looking for a London wedding photographer, you can explore more work on my London wedding photography portfolio.
London has several wonderful town hall wedding venues. Alongside Marylebone Old Town Hall, I also frequently photograph Chelsea Old Town Hall weddings, another elegant London registry venue.
PLANNING A WEDDING IN MARYLEBONE
-
The ceremony rooms vary in size, from very small spaces suited to just a few guests through to larger rooms that can accommodate around 100 people. Marylebone Old Town Hall offers several different rooms, so couples can choose the setting that best suits the scale of their wedding.
-
Yes. The steps outside the building have become an iconic place for photographs after the ceremony, and the surrounding streets of Marylebone provide beautiful backdrops for portraits. Many couples spend a little time wandering the nearby streets before heading on to their reception.
-
Absolutely. Registry office weddings work particularly well for couples planning a smaller celebration with close family and friends. The ceremony rooms feel elegant and personal without the scale of a large traditional venue.
-
Because of its central London location, there are countless options nearby. Some couples choose a restaurant in Marylebone, while others continue the celebration at one of London’s grand hotels. In Hana and Angelo’s case, guests gathered afterwards at The Lanesborough.
-
Its elegant architecture, beautiful ceremony rooms and central location make it one of the most sought-after places to marry in London. The surrounding streets also offer wonderful opportunities for relaxed photographs immediately after the ceremony.
-
Late morning and early afternoon ceremonies tend to work particularly well. They allow time for photographs around Marylebone afterwards before heading on to the reception.
