LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Photography is an art of observation.  It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

I'm a London wedding photographer.   I wasn't always a photographer - I spent nearly 10 years commuting into town to work in marketing - which was great fun, I got to travel to exciting places, go on tour with Eminem, attend the Brit Awards and meet all sorts of interesting people but... I wanted to do something more creative and to have the freedom of working for myself.  I took myself back to college for two years in Glasgow and threw myself into photography and making connections, gaining experience and trying my hand at everything.  Scotland quickly became a big love and I'm up there several times a year to stay at an old university friend's house in the Cairngorms - which is also conveniently an incredible wedding venue.

I’m so grateful... Helen captured intensity, love but also friendship and simplicity through her pictures... I couldn’t hold back my tears...

My first wedding was that of a brave friend who put her trust in me despite me having not yet started college.  From that moment I realised I had been lucky enough to fall into a job as a documentary wedding photographer that I could love.  Since that first few wedding I have been lucky enough to travel around Europe and even as far as New Zealand to photograph weddings.  The industry I work in continues to amaze and inspire me with the creative, kind and wonderful people that I meet both as colleagues and friends and also the lovely couples who trust me to capture one of the most special and memorable days of their lives.

I find it a hugely inspiring and humbling experience to be a part of such an intimate family occasion.  I have the privilege of experiencing, witnessing and creatively interpreting the raw connection of two people in front of the people closest to them in the world.  It makes for a beautiful set of images with laughter, tears and everything in between.  And the responses I get make it all worth while.

Simply an amazing photographer of people and places... she takes her moment to capture shots that are true to life and beautiful. She has a sense of humour as well as beauty which had made looking at our wedding photos such a joy.
