PLANNING YOUR DAY

You may have attended many weddings but until you start planning your own you don’t realise the level of detail that goes into putting together a successful, enjoyable and free flowing wedding day that is enjoyable for both your guests and you. If you have a planner they will spend a lot of time with you talking you through each element of the day. Here are my thoughts on things to consider when planning your day to ensure that the photography fits in seamlessly - allowing me to capture each moment faithfully, authentically and beautifully as it unfolds, but without the day feeling like a photoshoot that takes you away from what’s most important about your day - spending it with the people you love.

I have used an average ceremony start time to build the schedule around as a starting point.

ushers lunch

This usually takes place at a pub near the church. I would recommend a second photographer in order to capture these moments and to meet the groom and ushers here and continue on with them to the church to capture guests arriving. If timings allow and the locations are close together it’s possible for me to capture this ahead of coming for bridal prep.

GETTING READY

One of the loveliest parts of the day in my opinion. Time spent with your closest family and friends or bridesmaids and quite often at your family home surrounded by personal momentos and photographs. I really enjoy getting a glimpse into a families life and like to incorporate these things into the photographs.
