Cotswolds Wedding Photographer - Archie and Philippa get married at Charlton Park Estate

Sometimes everything just goes incredibly well at a wedding and it's visually very spectacular.  This was a wedding I had really been looking forward to.   Their ceremony took place at their family home on the front lawn, the ceremony was open air with the stunning backdrop of the house.  A whole gaggle of children (I lost count) and dogs accompanied Phili down the aisle.  After the ceremony guest walked over to a reception in front of the main house.  A highlight being the wing walker performance (Phili had for a short time held the record for the youngest wing walker in the world - amongst her many other achievements!).  The final stop was the teepee marquees in the woods filled with flora and fauna.  I don't think the day could have been any more perfect - at home, filled with family, friends, children and dogs and a glorious summers day.  I was literally in my element.

After my travels in New Zealand I am in the process of catching on all the wonderful weddings I photographed at the end of last year.  Hayley and Ryan decided to marry in the hotel where they were engaged; the Hotel Du Vin in Brighton.  Hayley was getting ready in the gorgeous top suite of the hotel and the ceremony and reception happened next door in the Pub du Vin.

Hayley found me through a mutual friend Emily whose wedding party I photographed at Shoreditch House , London earlier in the year so it was great to catch up with her on the day.  It was one of the windiest, rainy days imaginable and so we didn’t make it down to the beach unfortunately but the hotel itself had a fantastic atmosphere.  I love a pub wedding!

In my quest to add a few more destination weddings to my list of those around Europe and Scotland I jumped at the chance to have the opportunity to visit and photograph some weddings in New Zealand with my good friend Nisha Ravji.  When she messaged to say she had found a wedding for me to shoot I was over the moon.  After chatting over Skype Tasha and Andrew, both jockeys now living and racing in Macau, they booked me for their outdoor wedding at Belsaas Estate; a kiwi fruit orchard near Auckland. I’ve shot all sorts of weddings but I have to say that these two were quite possibly the most relaxed couple I have photographed!  The whole day and the photography went so smoothly.  Maybe it’s something about being in the outdoors – and not facing the craziness of the British weather (the last wedding I did before leaving the UK was in a horrendous downpour and gale force winds!).   I’ve now got a real taste for destination wedding photography!
