Having been a wedding photographer at Petersham Nurseries a few years ago and also a big fan of them generally I was thrilled to get the call from Niamh from New York asking if I would photograph their wedding in the Autumn. The day starting with photographing the bridal wedding preparations at The Connaught before catching black cabs over to The Mayfair Library for the wedding ceremony - The bride looked dazzling in a short modern dress and ballet flats. The ceremony was a small affair with only close family and friends who continued onto the bar at The Connaught for champagne and canapés. After a few hours break during which I went crazy photographing all the incredible (as ever) floral displays at Petersham Nurseries before the sun went down the evening guests began to arrive for a champagne reception by candlelit and entertained by a string quartet in Glasshouse 2. The guests later moved into the main glasshouse for a delicious 4 course meal - Petersham always delivers to such a high standard and it really is one of my favourite wedding venues and I can't wait to shoot there again!
