Getting married at Chateau Tourbeille

I’m finally starting to catch up on my wedding photography blogging. I’ve had such an amazing couple of years travelling all over the UK and Europe capturing some beautiful weddings for the loveliest brides and grooms.

Lucy contacted me after her wedding photographer had to pull out. Chateau La Tourbeille has only fairly recently opened as a wedding venue and it’s a spacious but homely chateau on a bend on the River Dordogne which felt as intimate and personal as if it was their own home. It was a truly personal all-hands-on-deck family wedding with everyone involved in all the details and creativity. Lucy is a designer and her talent and touches were evident in all the little details of the day. She was one of the most generous and laid back brides I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

The garden provided a stunning backdrop for the bridal portraits at golden hour.

Garden wedding ceremony photos

The ceremony was out in the heat of the afternoon with a great tree in the middle of the garden with the reception overlooking the river before they moved into the barn for the meal. One of my favourite wedding bands, Truly Medley Deeply played into the night. In fact I’d actually gone to be at around midnight but ended up getting up again because I thought I might be missing some great party shots. One of the benefits of accommodating your photographer on site is that you will generally get a lot more pictures out of me!

Your photography at Chateau Tourbeille

Lucy’s beautiful wedding gown was by Martina Liana Bridal Designs and the gorgeous floral arrangements and bridal bouquet by Amaryllis by Jenny Fairbanks. The party was entertained throughout the reception and onto the dancefloor by awesome wedding band Truly Medley Deeply . Lucy created all of the wedding illustrations herself  - Lucy Morley Art + Design
