Islington Town Hall Wedding Ceremony
I've shot a lot of weddings over the years, over 200 at least, so I've learnt to contain my emotions which initially were quite raw being exposed to the most intimate of human connections at a wedding. I don't usually cry but for some reason Alice and Sinead's wedding really moved me and I found their ceremony one of the most touching I've done in the last year.
An intimate London wedding
This wedding was especially small and intimate, with the ceremony being held in the Mayor's Parlour, the smallest space at Islington Town Hall that you can get married in with a capacity of around 12. They had only their closest friends and family in attendance for the wedding ceremony.
The Londesborough Pub Wedding Reception
After a family lunch at London eatery Ottolenghi Alice and Sinead greeted their wedding guests at the fantastic (and very local to me) pub The Londesborough in Stoke Newington where delicious pub grub and drinks were flowing throughout the night until the speeches. You can’t beat a cosy pub wedding and The Londesborough is especially good at getting the atmostphere and the decor right. It also has a small courtyard at the back which is perfect for warm summers evenings. It’s one of my favourite pubs in London.
