Photography is an art of observation.  It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

I'm a London based wedding photographer.   Having been working in marketing for quite some years after university I felt compelled to find work that was more creatively fulfilling for me whilst also allowing me to enjoy my passions of photography and travel.  Circumstances converged including fortuitous meetings with interesting and inspiring people and I had the opportunity to move to Glasgow for a few years to study photography and explore a part of the world that I continue to be madly in love with.

Since those first few weddings I have been lucky enough to travel around Europe and even as far as New Zealand to photograph weddings.  The industry I work in continues to amaze and inspire me with the creative, kind and wonderful people that I meet both as colleagues and friends and also the lovely couples who trust me to capture one of the most special and memorable days of their lives.

I find it a hugely inspiring and humbling experience to be a part of such an intimate family occasion.  I have the privilege of experiencing, witnessing and creatively interpreting the raw connection of two people in front of the people closest to them in the world.  It makes for a beautiful set of images with laughter, tears and everything in between.  And the responses I get make it all worth while:

I’m in floods! I mean FLOODS! I am crying at my desk with just absolute happiness and amazement at how completely beautifully and perfectly you have done our wedding photos! I literally cannot thank you enough, from the bottom of my heart, you were just absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much again, you were just heaven and I’m still crying!

I have always been obsessed with travel since I was young and love to document my journeys both through my destination wedding photography and my personal experiences.  You can see more of my personal, commercial, travel and portraiture work at .   Longer travel trips have included Madagascar, South American and more recent trekking in Nepal (see my blog for images).

A few years ago I was lucky enough to be involved in a book project with a team of creatives documenting the fascinating wellness culture of Eastern Europe on an 18 month journey that took us around 12 countries exploring food, medicine and nature.  Healing Sources is available on Amazon here.
